Wi-Fi Alliance

In 1999, several industry leaders came together to form a global, non-profit organization with the goal of driving the adoption of a single worldwide-accepted standard for high-speed wireless local area networking. We are that organization. We are known as the Wi-Fi Alliance. Today, with more than 250 members and growing, common goals still bind us together.

WiMAX Forum

The WiMAX Forum is an industry-led, non-profit corporation formed to promote and certify compatibility and interoperability of broadband wireless products. Our member companies support the industry-wide acceptance of the IEEE 802.16 and ETSI HiperMAN wireless MAN standards.

IEEE 802 LAN/MAN Standards Committee

The IEEE 802 LAN/MAN Standards Committee develops Local Area Network standards and Metropolitan Area Network standards. The most widely used standards are for the Ethernet family, Token Ring, Wireless LAN, Bridging and Virtual Bridged LANs. An individual Working Group provides the focus for each area.

WiMedia

The WiMedia Alliance is an open industry association that defines WiMedia technology. Alliance members consist of PC, CE and mobile industry leaders based in Asia, Europe and the North America. The wide range of participation from companies - both geographically and technologically - that craft WiMedia platforms ensures broad and popular adoption by end-users.

UWB Forum

UWB Forum Formed in late 2004, the UWB Forum is comprised of over 100 companies committed to making Ultra-Wideband technology a reality. The group is dedicated to ensuring that standards-based Ultra-Wideband products from multiple vendors are truly interoperable – from mobile phones to set-top boxes, from computers to televisions to digital camcorders and more. The Forum also facilitates the worldwide regulatory approval process for Ultra-Wideband systems along with the market educational efforts for future customers of these technologies.
